The Kingdom of Heaven Is Like...

By Mike Taylor [Jesus said,] “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it” (Matthew 13:45-46). Many within God’s church read the parables spoken by Jesus in this chapter, which are parables pertaining to the kingdom of God. In this chapter of Matthew, Jesus gave several examples pertaining to the kingdom of God. The prior parable before the title of this message is about a man who finds treasure in a field hidden: “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field” (Matthew 13:44).
