What is being termed a moderate magnitude 5.4 earthquake has struck in El Hierro, Canary Islands as shown below from the EMSC-CSEM. Canary Islands recently raised there volcano alert to yellow in response to a disturbing earthquake swarm in recent days. This 5.4 quake is the largest one yet in this swarm and can also be seen in the graphs below.
