This blood-thirsty nonsense began with Pharisee (and Roman citizen) Paul; who said that Jesus was a “vicarious atonement for the sins of men” and a “mediator between man and God”. This was then followed by the Roman church; which said that Mary is the “Queen of Heaven” (in flagrant repudiation, by the way, of Chapter 7, verse 18 of the Book of Jeremiah; see, also: http://ift.tt/1xvyxWN), the “Mother of God” (and, thus, the grandmother of Jesus, who was the “son of God”), and the “Mediatrix” between man and God... Which was then followed by popes, saints, and popes again [2 of whose metaphysical ‘souls’ were recently ‘promoted’ to sainthood by “executive order” (...oops...wrong “beast”)]; all of which are, of course, additional mediators between man and God. But it gets worse.
