Gary McKinnon was the first person to bring the Secret Space Program to the publics attention in 2002. McKinnon is a Scottish systems administrator who was accused of hacking into the U.S. Department of Defense computer database. In an interview in 2005 he claimed he found evidence of an "Off World" Secret Space Program which included “Non-Terrestrial Officers” as well as records of “fleet-to-fleet transfers” and even “a list of ship names.” McKinnon was brought up on charges by the government and was looking at up to 60 years imprisonment but the charges were dropped in 2012.
