A VERY good question from Jon Karl. The reality is that the relationship Valerie Jarrett has with Barack and Michelle Obama is extremely odd, and she functions as a sort of Co-President with Obama. To any average observer, for that letter to go to the Governor of Texas from Valerie Jarrett, instead of from the President, is just weird and inappropriate. But in Obama’s dysfunctional White House, it makes sense to them.
