This comes as other reports say government forces have heavily pounded Donetsk as part of efforts to tighten their grip on the restive region. The city has lately been under the heavy bombardment of government forces targeting the strongholds of pro-Russia militias there. The besieged militias say they are ready for a ceasefire to prevent a humanitarian disaster in the area.
