Huge Explosion Reported at Syrian Air Defense Site Near Latakia After Israeli Jets Seen In Lebanon

| WTF News | The major western media outlets have been very quiet about the Syria situation but it is no less volatile after the chemical weapons agreement. At least one large explosion has been reported near a Syrian air defense site, some on twitter are claiming multiple blasts, however those cannot be confirmed either. @RamiAlLolah Map for you, Rami pic.twitter.com/OS8y0EZC6F— DesertFire (@PS_CA_ArabSpr) October 30, 2013 A Syrian air defense base near the coastal city of Latakia was reportedly destroyed Wednesday night, with multiple Syrian and Lebanese sources speculating that an Israeli strike from the Mediterranean was to blame. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported a loud explosion in a Syrian army base, and Twitter users quoted eyewitnesses who said the blast occurred near Snobar Jableh, just south of the city.
