At least, that's not what the Sumerians meant when they first wrote about Nibiru. Readers do seem fascinated with the idea of NIBIRU. I explained that it is NOT what most people think (a rogue planet in an unusually long orbit around our sun) in an article a few days ago that has had many readers, including many with comments defending the silly pseudo-science I debunk. Just to be clear, I am not stating that there are no such planets in a long orbit around our sun – “Planet X” could be discovered in orbit beyond Neptune and Pluto tomorrow.
