Temperatures at freezing will meet temperatures above freezing just 2500-5000 feet above the surface. This will bring a very large area of significant ice across West/Southwest to Central/Northern Texas, including the Metro area of Dallas/Fort Worth. It really seems as if the New Years Eve celebrations will be impacted so be very careful out there on the roads!
