Liberty 247 The country is about to receive another “surge” in refugees, but this time, they won’t come across our southern borders. This time the refugees are Muslims, and the United Nations is involved. The United States Department of State announced recently that the first group of 9,000 refugees from Syria have been selected by the U.N. High Commissioner on Refugees (UNHCR), and will be resettled into communities all over the U.S.
