Dear Brothers and Sisters, I am writing this today on behalf of the people and lands you are charged with protecting. Slowly, incrementally, over time the mission statement of police and soldiers has changed. When I was a kid, the police were around to keep an eye on things and protect the innocent from harm. Your task was to ensure the people’s rights were upheld and peace was the order of the day.
