Madeleine McCann-linked paedophile fled to NZ Madeleine McCann disappeared in May 2007, aged three. The paedophile who is to be extradited to Britain for questioning in the Madeleine McCann case spent time in New Zealand. Roderick Macdonald, 76, was reportedly living in the Algarve in Portugal at the same time as Madeleine's disappearance in 2007. He was arrested in Malta on Monday after being on the run since 2012 following his conviction for abusing two girls in Brighton, England.
