For the past few years, the official story was that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was planning to gradually stop harvesting organs from prisoners. Like many official CCP stories, that one turned out to be decidedly fictional. Wang Haibo, a Chinese organ transplant spokesperson, recently told the German broadcaster ARD that there’s no plan in place for stopping organ harvesting, the Epoch Times reported. Some people might think taking prisoners’ organs means that death row prisoners give their consent for their organs to be taken and used for transplants after they are executed.
