Washington, DC- FreedomWorks is engaging activists nationwide to support Senator Ted Cruz’s filibuster against a rigged amendment process that forces the Senate to consider only one amendment striking the language that defunds ObamaCare, with only a simple majority required to pass it. FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe commented, “While establishment Republicans like Cornyn, McCain and McConnell are sitting out the fight and siding with Washington insiders, it’s inspiring to see the next generation of Republican leaders stand up for good policy when it counts. This is a showdown between DC insiders and the rest of America. There is still a chance to defund ObamaCare if a united House and Senate GOP force a negotiation with the Democrats.
