Types of Knots - The Sheep Shank with Three Variations

The
sheep shank is a type of knot that is traditionally
used to shorten a rope, take up slack or provide additional security for a rope
that may have a weakened or frayed area that could break. It is also easily
tied in the middle of rope if it is important to keep items secured without
untying your rope. This knot is not very stable but can be useful if needed to
enhance the stability of a weakened or frayed rope without having to actually
cut out the bad section. It’s important to remember that this type of knot may
fail if it has too much load or too little load placed upon it.

There may be hundreds of millions of myrmidons around the world who will bow at the feet of U.S. President Barack Obama, but Irish deputy Clare Daly is not one of them. Not by a long shot.
In the following speech, Ms. Daly delivers a scathing portrayal of Barack Obama as not only a hypocrite for his actions around the world, but a war criminal to boot.
The people of Ireland should be proud, because this woman is definitely not following the party line as she highlights the ridiculousness of Barack Obama’s rhetoric and policies.
The biggest irony of all, the protestations of Obama himself, in his speech to children in northern Ireland about peace.
