Knowing Guns: The Ins & Outs of Firearms & Firearms Politics for the Uninitiated
Detroit, Michigan --(Ammoland.com)- In the wake of recent events and the heated debates over gun control, it can be hard for a person unfamiliar with guns to separate fact from fiction.
Emotion and politics distort the issue, leaving many wondering where the truth lies.
“Knowing Guns” is an attempt to combat the massive disinformation, misinformation and outright lies swirling around the issue while, at the same time, providing non-partisan answers to the questions that often arise.
Everyone from fans of gun control to gun rights activists will come away knowing far more about the political shenanigans taking place on both sides and, armed with this knowledge, find common ground to mutual advantage.
Written for the average person without heavy jargon, fully footnoted and annotated, the book begins with an introduction to the author, Stu Chisholm; a unique individual who is both a part of, yet apart from, what we think of as American “gun culture.” From the bedrock of the issue, the Second Amendment, right on through to the final ethical and moral considerations of gun use and ownership, Stu provides a guided tour, with a running commentary of all of the hot button issues and current events. In short, it’s a must read for anyone interested in firearms and their politics whatever the reason.
Guns are a hot topic. They’re controversial. They’re political.

How to Use an AED

They can be found at malls, schools, offices, swimming pools and many other places. I’m talking about AEDs.
The vast majority of people have never witnessed one operate, let alone taken the opportunity to check out how one works. That said, it is so easy to use, even untrained school children can use it… It really is that easy!
What it is
The Automated External Defibrillator, or AED for short, is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses and delivers a potential life saving shock if it detects potentially life threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia in a patient.
Don’t let the lingo scare you. All it means is that it check for irregularitires in normal heart rhythm.
