By Susan Duclos Due to the government shutdown, the National Park Service police attempted to prevent access the World War II memorial, but World War II veterans brought to the memorial cost free by the Honor Flight Project did not let the barriers erected stop them from visiting the memorial created for them. Twitter is abuzz as Twitchy has documented and the video below explains, with the veterans marching right through the barriers. According to Leo Shane on Twitter, "Tons of applause as the WWII vets from Miss. storm their memorial.
