Wisconsin Carry Wisconsin --(Ammoland.com)- Assembly Bill 9 is back on the calendar for this Thursday. Amendment 1 to Assembly Bill 9 would allow concealed carry license holders to carry on school grounds. Speaking to a legislator last week I was told there were NOT currently enough votes in the committee to pass Amendment 1. If it is to pass, YOU must pick up the phone and call or email these legislators immediately. Right now 200,000 law abiding citizens of Wisconsin who jumped through hoops, took mandatory training, paid the state license tax, submitted an application and got recorded in a government database in order to protect themselves and their families by carrying a sidearm, STILL risk potential felony charges if they accidentally carry their gun on school grounds when they go to pick up their kids form school. We also believe that make-believe “gun free zones” which currently include school grounds and school buildings create “target rich environments” for lunatics. We believe its morally wrong for the government to compel us to fund our local schools through or property taxes, and then turn around and deny us our constitutionally guaranteed right to self-defense in those very same schools “we the people” paid for. “Gun free zones” and “No guns” signs are political signs only.
