Editor’s Note – If we strip away all the rhetoric, all the spin, all the posturing, what is happening concerning the so-called government shutdown and the impending Debt Ceiling argument is very simple really. Thomas Sowell, in his own inimitable way, cuts through all the bull shit. Yes, we said bull shit since decorum on Capital Hill and in the White House is gone. With all the name-calling, the excoriation of vast swath of the citizenry called the Tea Party, the demonization of a true patriot in the person of Senator Cruz, to the internecine bickering and the ‘eating of their young’ in the Republican Party, it all boils down to childish and narcissistic behavior. But then again, it took a set of childish bullying and bribery to pass Obama Care in the first place back in March of 2010, and then there is the complete reversal of rhetoric by Obama on the debt ceiling. Somehow it works, why?
