(Be the Media) - A somewhat recent article published by Investment Watch titled "World Bank: –ALL GOLD IN FORT KNOX IS LEASED– ( & Is No Longer Included In Reserves…..)" showed that most of western countries' gold reserves had a dramatic drop, such as that of the US that went from $537,267,272,428 to $139,133,877,266. However, I decided to take a look at that list again today and had an unpleasant surprise, in that the numbers have been changed and now do not show the pillaging that has taken place. I'm beating myself in the head for not having saved World Bank's webpage in html format for future comparisons, so if anyone out there has the original data from 2 weeks ago, please share with us all!! Here is the World Bank data as of today: http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/FI.RES.TOTL.CD And here is the data from a couple of weeks ago: 2011 & 2012 Total reserves from selected countries/ 2011 2012 3,254,674,122,432 3,331,120,015,177 China 1,295,838,776,760 1,227,147,066,091 Japan 556,570,991,484 656,464,468,331 Saudi Arabia 497,410,247,573 486,576,821,775 Russian Federation 330,585,901,720 475,659,218,997 Switzerland 352,010,241,721 369,565,972,929 Brazil 285,398,502,318 317,250,784,184 Hong Kong SAR, China 306,934,543,258 323,207,084,421 Korea Republic 298,739,485,812 270,586,507,559 India 243,798,278,361 259,094,453,870 Singapore 191,369,117,586 191,297,104,865 Algeria 174,891,027,448 173,327,664,214 Thailand 149,208,131,605 160,413,365,958 Mexico 537,267,272,428 139,133,877,266 United States 133,571,691,894 137,783,902,870 Malaysia 87,937,258,383 99,942,631,728 Turkey 94,544,038,250 88,596,004,564 United Kingdom 65,819,020,599 68,364,968,305 Canada 234,104,163,354 67,422,252,402 Germany 46,714,035,204 44,866,045,135 Australia
