Red Dwarf Star Being Eaten By A Black Hole

The orbit period is just 2.4 hours! 28.000 light years from Earth, still on our side of the Galaxy, there is a poor red dwarf star smaller than our own Sun orbiting a stellar mass Black Hole at two million kilometers per hour. The star is under one million kilometers away from the Black Hole - that is only a little above the radius of our own Sun and smaller than the LISA constellation.
Gravitational Waves produced by systems like these can only be detected by space based detectors like LISA. In fact, LISA will be able to listen to a very similar kind of extreme mass-ratio inspirals: Compact stars or small Black Holes falling into supermassive Black Holes. By that LISA can measure Black Hole masses and spins to 0.1% accuracy, probe space-time itself and look for violations of general relativity.
