The largest threat to life on this planet at this time is the coronal mass ejection fromthe sun. The size and strength has been increasing over the last year. We are almost in the middle of the 11 year cycle of C M E's and they are the most powerful seen in over 100 years. If a strong enough CME is sent in the direction of the earth it could cause mass devestation and death of at least 90% of the population depending on the direction it heads.
