The nation of the United States is one that rose from the dark days of tyrannical rule of Great Britain and the King. Our Founding Fathers knew just how important it was to break free from that rule and to establish a system of government that was the exact opposite of tyranny under the King of England. Our Founding Fathers developed and set up a form of government under a Constitution and Bill of Rights to enable freedom and liberty to thrive without the encumbrance of big intrusive government. In their wisdom, they set up a Republic, a nation under the rule of law.
