Americans have learned that civil and constitutional rights is a national issue, not limited to Selma, St. Louis or Birmingham. Hundreds of demonstrators marched through Manhattan on the day after a grand jury in Missouri declined to indict a cop in the shooting death of Michael Brown. Some protesters and cops clashed in Times Square.
