A study conducted by the USGS comparing figures for air and rain samples from 1995 and 2007 in Mississippi concluded that 75% of all 2007 samples tested positive for glyphosate — the active ingredient in Monsanto's best-selling herbicide Roundup.
That's right... *air* samples.
Based on these figures, that means an 18-fold glyphosate use increase in Mississippi during that time period alone. Of course, this data is now seven years old, so who knows what the numbers are today, not to mention the fact that this is only looking at the state of Mississippi. What about the other 49 states? Are we walking around breathing Roundup? What about people who collect rainwater to water organic gardens?
Most people eat organic to avoid pesticides, but we can't avoid breathing, now can we?
This study raises a lot more questions than answers...questions with pretty horrific implications considering not only the fact that each year Roundup use increases as more GMOs are planted across the nation, but how dangerous Roundup is to every system in our bodies as evidenced in independent studies.

According to a previously published report, the report states a small number of children in California have contracted a polio-like illness since 2012, and doctors and public health officials don't yet know why.
Dr. Keith Van Haren, a pediatric neurologist at Stanford University's Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, told the Los Angeles Times that the illness is not polio, noting that all of the patients he studied had been vaccinated against the disease. However, Van Haren noted that in five cases he had studied, all of the children developed paralysis in one or more of their arms or legs, and none had recovered limb functions after being diagnosed.
The first case was reported in the fall of 2012, when a doctor requested polio testing on a child who had developed a severe paralytic illness. California health officials did not release to the Times the total number of cases reported. Van Haren told the paper that he was aware of approximately 20 cases in total. The median age of the children diagnosed is 12 years old.
