A large tornado was spotted near Rochelle, Illinois this evening. This storm went on to produce additional damage and touchdowns southeast of Rockford. Additional information, such as EF ratings and paths, will be released once the National Weather Service surveys the area. This tornado was within the Northern edge of the NWF Tornado Advisory, which stated that Northern IL would be prime for strong tornado activity if supercells remained ahead of the line.
