Christine Ford | Tuidang Center Zhang Cuiping became a petitioner after the store she owned in Shanghai was forcibly demolished by Chinese authorities in 2001, destroying her source of income along with it. Zhang and her husband Tian opposed the demolition. As a result they were beaten numerous times.
