Announcement: Israeli Election Predictions – Great Resource; Will Netanyahu Win?

A great resource to get a handle on the upcoming Israeli Election (March 17) is “Jeremy’s Knesset Insider.” He has listed all the polls, and gives a rundown on how a coalition Government is likely to be formed based on each poll. I certainly don’t understand the ins and outs of Israeli Politics, but this site helps you see what is likely to happen. Basically, it appears that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party is likely to not get the most votes in the Election Tuesday, but it is still very possible he will emerge as the Prime Minister based on being able to put together a coalition with other parties that will keep him in leadership. Others believe his opposition will succeed in putting together a winning coalition. It will be interesting to see what happens. Below is one scenario posted by a commenter at Jeremy’s site: It defies belief how these anti-Bibi dreamers can have the anti-Zionist Arab parties joining with the “Zionist Camp.” It’s just not going to happen, folks. Here’s the coalition I see coming to Israel soon: and to show I’m not dreaming, I’ll use the Channel 2 poll, which has the ZU at its peak popularity. Likud (22), B Yehudi (11), Shas (7), UTJ (6), YB (5), Yachad (5) =56, all right-wing.
