::::::: SOLAR FLARE ALERT ::::::: TWIN M-CLASS STRONG SOLAR FLARES AND RADIO BLACKOUT - Jan 13, 2015 Region 2257 produced two moderately strong M-solar flares this morning, peaking at 04:24 UTC & 04:58 UTC (Jan 13). Because the active region is no longer directly facing Earth, any associated coronal mass ejection (CME) would likely be directed mostly away from our planet. http://ift.tt/13nBFoA A filament eruption on January 12 was located in close proximity to region 2261 SOLAR FLARE AND RADIO BLACKOUT: Sunspot AR2257 erupted on Jan. 13th, producing an M5-class solar flare at 04:24 UT.
