Photo retrieved from July 2, 2011 By Island Girl A ruptured pipeline has spilled as much as 50,000 gallons of oil in Montana on Jan 17, with an unknown amount seeping into the Yellowstone River. The breach occurred in the Poplar Pipeline system, 9 miles upstream from Glendive in eastern Montana.
