Dore Wrecking Company, now Dore and Associates, has been awarded several government contracts to demolish buildings over the years. Dore started in the 1960's, as the WTC was being constructed. During the 1970's, just as the WTC opened, they demolished 33 buildings of the St Louis Pruitt-Igoe housing complex that were designed by Minoru Yamasaki. Minoru also designed the WTC!
