US created ISIL in bid to topple Syrian President

Published on 16 Sep 2014An American journalist says the United States created ISIL Takfiri group in an effort to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.We planted the seed of ISIL and are taking advantage of it and use it as an excuse “to basically take out Assad,” said Allen Roland, an online columnist from California, in an interview with Press TV on Sunday.“We created ISIS and we are using it now as a convenient foil to once again gather American people behind another attack by the West in the Middle East,” Roland added. He also drew an analogy between the 9/11 attacks in the United States and the creation of ISIL terrorist group. Roland made the remarks after former US senator Bob Graham said the White House’s failure to investigate the role of Saudi Arabia in the 9/11 attacks has emboldened the Kingdom to engage in harmful actions including supporting the ISIL terrorist group.“The whole reason for 9/11was … basically to take advantage of the oil-rich countries in the Middle East and use it for war design and war purposes and control and colonization which is exactly what we have done.”“Graham’s remark is like every now and then somebody comes up with the truth and says this is what really happening,” Roland said, adding that such people usually “get squeezed off” by the mainstream media like fox news and CNN.
