Typhoon Swings Toward Fukushima, Forecasters Warn

Fukushima is under threat of Typhoon Neoguri, the worst storm to hit Japan in 15 years, as it has taken a swing to eastern shores and due to hit Friday morning with massive amounts of rain, storm surge and landslides, forecasters have warned Thursday morning. TEPCO says it's taking emergency measures at Fukushima. Workers were bracing for the storm, TECO nuclear plant operator said, referring to the storm. Although it has been downgraded from a typhoon to a 'severe storm,' it is anticipated to bring storm surges and landslides with its torrential downpours and strong winds.
