The Biggest Mistake Ever Made in History

July 20 is the anniversary of what may be the worst mistake in the history of the world: the Chinese communist regime’s persecution of over 100 million people who practice Falun Gong. Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) came to power in 1949, it has maintained a climate of fear by periodically persecuting various groups of citizens, ensuring that the terrorized population would be compliant. In 1999, then-CCP leader Jiang Zemin became jealous of the immense popularity of Falun Gong and launched a mass persecution against its practitioners. Founded in China in the 1990s, the spiritual practice Falun Gong is based on the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance.
