One really great gardening secret is to save and use your dryer lint to keep moisture around the roots of the plants in your garden. If you set out tomato plants put a tightly packed fist size piece of dryer lint in the bottom of the hole. The dryer lint will keep the moisture right at the roots of the plant you just set out. This is one of the best ways I know of to keep the moisture at the roots of the plant or plants.
