ISIS Orders A Million Iraqi Women To Undergo Female Genital Mutilation (Vid And Picture)

Terrorists have ordered all girls and women living in and around Iraq’s northern city of Mosul to undergo female genital mutilation, the United Nations said on Thursday. But some have argued that the “fatwa,” or religious ruling, was suggested by militant group, now known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria or ISIS, more than a year ago. A UN spokeswoman in Geneva said they were trying to establish the origins of the edict — which could potentially affect 4 million women and girls. “We have current reports of imposition of a directive that all female girl children and women up to the age of 49 must be circumcised,” Jacqueline Badcock, a UN resident and humanitarian coordinator in Iraq, told reporters.
