IRS Scandal Update Cover Up By Top Officials After Conservative Groups Targeted
You have likely heard the mantra repeated by both Democrats and members of the media regarding the IRS intimidation scandal – that progressive groups were targeted alongside conservative groups. Actually, that’s not quite true. Please read the following and then better inform those around you of the truth…

Following the bombshell breakout of the scandal in May, the Inspector General’s Office was ordered to conduct further investigations into the IRS dealings. (By the Feds – which means the Obama administration ordered the investigation. This allowed two things to happen. One, it bought the administration time to use the old “ongoing investigation” ploy, similar to what was done in Benghazi, Fast and Furious, etc. Two, it gave the administration ample opportunity to influence the updated Inspector General report to show progressive groups as being cited by the IRS as well – and that is exactly what the administration, Democrats, and many in the media then attempted to do.
Unfortunately, the facts don’t support that premise. Here’s why, as evidenced by a recent NPQ report from:
“NPQ reported in July that there was a BOLO (“be on the lookout”) issued by the IRS for tax-exempt applications that included liberal or progressive keywords. However, this particular BOLO was identified by the Treasury investigation as one drafted long after conservative groups were targeted, and that the BOLO in question was never made active by the IRS. ” LINK
